A perfect cocktail for warmer weather

We follow a lot of cooks and bartenders, whether of the professional or home variety, on Instagram. That’s how Rich came across Kaitlyn Stewart, aka @likeablecocktails, and this week’s drink, the Italian Greyhound. We also like to share a link to recipes, but when it came to this one, we couldn’t find one online that exactly mirrored the one Stewart shared, ergo this post.

If you’re looking for a riff on the traditional Greyhound, or a Salty Dog, that will please yourself or a crowd, this is it. Delicious, refreshing, something you may want to batch for a party, it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

The Italian Greyhound
1.5 oz. of gin
1/2 oz. Aperol
1/2 oz. simple syrup
1.5 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice

Put all your ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake until cold, and strain into a highball glass with fresh ice. Enjoy.
